Mike Young

Born and raised in West Central Illinois, Michael Young grew up outdoors and developed a passion for the environment at a young age. He started fishing with his father in various tournaments and as he matured, his passion transitioned to hunting. Michael was immediately enthralled and eager to learn everything possible about hunting tactics, land management, and habitat development.

Michael Young is such an avid outdoorsman that he has a personal motto and goal: “Leave the land better than how it was found upon arrival.” With many years of experience hunting, developing, and managing properties in Illinois and Missouri, Michael’s passion runs deep. His passion has taken him to several areas in Illinois, Missouri, Colorado, Montana, Nebraska, and other states in pursuit of wildlife and learning about habitat. Habitat improvement, planting and growing various food sources, timber stand improvement, native habitat development, and overall farm functionality motivate and drive Michael whenever he steps onto a property. His knowledge and passion for the outdoors distinguish him and make him the right choice as a Land Agent to represent clients seeking to buy or sell recreational, hunting, investment, or livelihood properties. He has implemented management goals for farms ranging from twenty to several hundred acres to support year-round wildlife growth and habitat development. These additional traits Michael brings to every transaction he handles.

Michael understands personally the value of owning one’s own land and the sensitivity of purchasing decisions or choices to buy or sell, regardless of tract size. He knows each tract has its own worth and learning those values helps him better comprehend a property’s potential and how to sell a farm at the top of the market. He handles each transaction with a mindset that professionalism, communication, and service are top priorities. Clients come to him to buy or sell properties because they know he is dedicated to achieving their goals.

When not working, Michael enjoys spending time with his family – his three children: Haylee, Hunter, and Amelia. Being a father is his greatest achievement and whether supporting their activities or enjoying time together outdoors, nothing is better than being surrounded by family and close friends.
